Dan Carson
Dan grew up in Stratford, New Jersey, and attended Sterling High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University-Camden, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in History and earned his teaching certification for elementary and secondary education. In 2009, Dan completed his graduate studies in School Administration at Rowan University.
Dan and his wife JoAnn have been residents of Haddon Township for 4 1/2 years. They are the proud parents of Aubrey and Grady, who are in 2nd grade, and Owen, who is in Pre-K. All three kids attend Van Sciver Elementary School and are active in community athletics. Whether it is on the baseball, softball or soccer field, Dan has taken an active role in serving as a volunteer coach.
Professionally, Dan has served as the junior high social studies teacher at Magnolia Public School for the past fifteen years. During his tenure at Magnolia, he has served the district in multiple capacities. Along with coaching soccer and basketball, Dan has participated in a variety of professional learning communities and served on committees whose goal is to maximize the effectiveness of teachers, as well as to mold students into proficient readers, writers and test-takers.
